About This Project
CertainTeed's Presidential TL Solaris pairs the brand's heavyweight, triple-laminate shingle with reflective Solaris granule technology, designed to reflect more of the sun's energy and help keep the roof deck cooler. In Charcoal, the multi-tone blend gives this San Jose two-story home a deep, near-black roofline that still picks up subtle gray and graphite tones in direct light.
Our crew completed a full tear-off, re-decked as needed, and installed a new synthetic underlayment system before laying the Presidential TL Solaris shingles across both roof planes. The project also included flashing and re-sealing around several existing skylights to keep every penetration weather-tight, finished with a Class A fire rating throughout.
