About This Project
CertainTeed's Presidential Shake TL is a heavyweight, triple-laminate shingle designed to recreate the deep shadow lines and staggered texture of a hand-split wood shake roof. In Dark Brown, the multi-tone blend reads almost black in shadow and warms up to chestnut and tan in direct sun, giving this hillside Carmel home a roofline with real depth and dimension.
Our crew handled a complete tear-off down to the deck, then installed CertainTeed's DiamondDeck synthetic underlayment across the entire roof before laying the new shingles. Every valley, ridge, and penetration was properly detailed, and the roof was finished with a Class A fire rating throughout.
